Principal's Message

     As the Principal of Dahiwadi College, I recognize that our institution is situated in an area with a rich, yet often under-documented, floral heritage, particularly in the surrounding Dahiwadi region of the Satara district. The establishment of this Plant Diversity Portal is a direct manifestation of our vision to be a center for knowledge generation and conservation. This initiative, spearheaded by Dr. P R Lawand, Department of Botany, not only serves as a dynamic educational resource for our students and faculty but also acts as a vital platform for the public to learn about and appreciate the local flora. It aligns perfectly with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by promoting experiential learning, research, and documentation of local biodiversity. We are dedicated to ensuring the continuous growth and updating of this valuable resource.
